East Mountain British Car Club
The EMBCCiles are a loosely formed group of British car nuts generally located in the eastern slopes of the Sandia mountains. There are no dues, no official meetings, and no expectations other than to have a good time with each other and our cars.

Galisteo Art Tour
Hi all, I am wondering how many people are thinking about doing the art tour on the 21st?
Sharon&I will be there. Are we starting with Breakfast at the East Mountian Grill? I also read Thea's response some time back and that would seem to be a good starting point.
Cheers,Bob

Save the Date
Hello EMBCCs, I hope your summer was fantastic. It's time to start thinking about roasting chilis and the Galisteo Studio Tour http://galisteostudiotour.com/ . This year we will be doing the drive on Sunday because the first lady will not return from out of town until Saturday night. So, get the word out, get the cars ready, and save the date:

April 22 Event
Hello folks, here's the plan for Sunday, April 22:
We'll meet at 9:00 for coffee and donuts at the East Mountain Library in Tijeras. We plan to depart in a caravan at 9:30, for a total drive of around 60 miles. We'll take a scenic route, meandering toward a cold drink, restroom break and photo op at Sonic in Edgewood. After that, we'll visit Sandia Airpark, then cruise around South Mountain to arrive at Doug and Judy's at noon for lunch. At 2:00, we plan on attending the matinee performance of "God of Carnage" at the Vista Grande Community Center (buy tickets here: http://www.emct.org/shows-listing/event/god-of-carnage-no-food-matinee-2012-04-22/ ). Our very own Chris Morrison is one of the four actors in this production, so show your support and attend!
My cellphone is 514-1122. See you then for some or all of the day's events! Ross

The Few, The Proud
Bob and Sharon come zooming down their hill
Chris and Henry in the shade. Brake problems prevented them from taking their TR-6 up to the Crest
A beautiful day up top. "Agatha, when she's running, is really much faster than yours Bob."

Be There, Aloha
Hey folks, looks like the weather is holding for tomorrow's event...that would be 10am at Greenside (don't listen to Bubba) The wind shouldn't pick up until after noon, but it'll be cold up at the crest. We'll expect Henry to display stylish and appropriate headgear ;-o

Official April 1 Event
Alright, the negotiations are complete...meet at Greenside at 10 am for brunch. Bring ideas for future events. After fueling up (cars and tummies) we'll attempt the summit with a run up to the Crest. I'll bring my AAA card, just in case. See you then!
May Event
I think we should look at May 12th or 19th both Saturdays for the event we are trying to do on April 21/22.
First would it work for Doug&Judy?
If so we would have more time to plan a tsd/trivia or some reason to get out and exercise the cars. Ross might even have his Stag running by then.
I bring this up early so everyone who is at breakfast April 1st can offer opinions or options.

April Fools
Ah, an appropriate day for the EMBCCiles to come out of hibernation! Perhaps it'll still be cool enough for the Bugeye to get to the top without overheating. Weather forecast looks good. I'm in! Shall we say breakfast at Greenside at 10? Maybe plan our future endeavors over some Sandia Toast..
First Event
We might try something short for a first run. I would suggest meeting for breakfast somewhere on N14. Then make a run to the top of the crest. Bringing this fine British iron out after the winter and given most of the cars ages a test and tune run might be in order.
We could do an April's fools run on the first. If that does not work throw out some other dates.
